At a time when there was no hospital around the area and people had no easy transportation facilities to other faraway hospitals, this much needed hospital was started in 1967 with financial support from the first congregational church, Mansfield, Ohio and the Missionary Society of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC), USA.
The then pastor of the biggest of our congregational churches, of that village, Palliyadi was the founder. He was much concerned about the health of the poor villagers and hence took the initiative to start this hospital.
